Music Viedo Coventions

 Music videos follow certain conventions. Some of these include what costume is used, the setting, the shot type, and the movement, performance and gestures that is used. these are some of the music videos i watched and Analised:

 

Miguel- How Many Drinks? Remix ft King Kendrick

Costumes: Suits

Setting: Stage, dark sexy colours 

Shot types: Mid shots long shots close ups and extreme close ups

Movement: Man just standing in middle of stage with back up singers and crew

Pitbull- Timber ft Kesha

Costume: cow girl clothing but modern and stylish and suits

Setting: a western old bar and a beach

Shot types: every shot type

Movement: lots of dancing and partying

Will.i.am- Feeling myself ft Miley cryus, French Montana, Wiz khalifa

Costume: they are all wearing modern fashionable clothing
Setting: in a green screen studio
Shot types: Mid shots long shots close ups and extreme close ups
Movement: artist standing still and danicng on the spot while ringing

Peer Assesment

After this peer assessment took place i realized that i had to make each one of my logos be a little bit more unique i could do this by changing the font type for each logo. Also i had to try show what type of music is played on each one of my stations i could do this through the font type and colours used. Another comment was to add another element to the logo so they don't look so similar and boring. Im also going to be changing the colours of the logos but keep it so you can still tell they are part of the same family but have there own unique twist. Also i could add a background to the logos to make them look a bit different.
